Just the Facts Ma’am’-
HOW TO BUY?- If you are a first-time art buyer or a novice collector, don’t let the excitement and size intimidate you. All of the exhibition art at the CFD Western Art Show is offered through a fixed-price sale. This means prices are established by the artists and posted next to each work of art, published in the show catalog and listed in the website. Everyone is eligible to place a ballot slip as a bid to purchase a work of art. Through a process that is designed and monitored for fairness, a salesperson draws the names of up to three potential buyers giving them the opportunity to purchase during the Opening Reception. For more details, check out the rules of sale in the catalog when you arrive.
BUY IT NOW OPTION – Another aspect new this year to the show will be the ability to “buy it now.” All artwork in the Western Art Show will be offered at 25% above the sale price if buyer would like to forgo the sale drawing and purchase the piece immediately.
A FEW MORE DETAILS – You will be asked to complete the purchase information before proceeding to the settlement area. Credit cards are acceptable, but purchases made with cash or check provide more support for the Museum.
TAKE PART IN HISTORY – The Western Art Show is a career booster for participating artists, a memory-making experience for collectors and the largest annual fundraiser for the Museum, which operates without tax-based support and depends on private, corporate and foundation contributions. Perhaps you have attended every one of these events in the Museum’s history or you’ve heard about it and always dreamed of coming. The welcome mat is out for you to participate in the CFD Western Art Show.
SHOP ‘TIL YOU DROP – Art is an investment, and when you shop the CFD Western Art Show you are also supporting the Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum.
All art remains on display and those pieces that were not immediately sold at the Opening Reception are available for purchase through July 30, 2017.
