I want to capture the heart and soul of the West in my paintings. I love portraying the small snippets of time that look in to the heart and soul of my friends and neighbors, capturing the subtleties of day to day life. In my 30+ year career my work has been included in many top national Western art shows including Cowgirl Up at the Desert Caballeros Western Museum; Small Works, Great Wonders at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum; American Miniatures at Settlers West Gallery; and A Timeless Legacy at the Hockaday Museum. Recent awards include the 2012 Cheyenne Frontier Days People’s Choice and People’s Choice at the 2014 Buffalo Bill Quick Draw. I’m privileged to have my work featured in the 2016 July/August issue of Art of the West Magazine and the March 2017 Southwest Art Magazine.

I bring to my art a deep passion for the great outdoors. Early years were spent exploring woods and fields on our family farm. Today the Tetons, Yellowstone and Wyoming’s Bighorn Mountains are my playground. On archival panels, using some of my own hand-made pastels, I represent the bold shapes and subtle hues of our western landscape. Enter the paintings and explore with me. Sense the mystery and awe that nature inspires.

As a member of Rocky Mountain Plein Air Painters and a signature member of Pastel Society of America, The Butler Institute of American Art, National Arts Club, Mountain Oyster Club and Brinton Museum have shown my work. Recent awards include several Best of Shows and the Wyoming Governor’s Choice Award. I’ve been featured in Art of the West and Southwest Art magazines.
