My palette knife technique lends itself well to painting nature, from vast western landscapes to intimate scenes of native wildflowers all over the west. Edges, points, and broken passages of thick paint, create depth and details that a brush may not be able to achieve. I enjoy creating mood with interesting lighting and vibrant colors!
My work is in the permanent collection of The Amerind Museum, Grand Teton Nat’l Park, the J.M. Smucker Company and the Wyoming State Capitol buildings. I am a past President & Master Signature Member of AWA, and a Signature Member of OPA. I have had feature articles in most major art magazines and was included in the 2013 book, Art of the National Parks, Historic Connections, Contemporary Interpretations.”
