Curt Theobald

I grew up making things with my hands.  That early passion for creation continues to guide my art.  My background as a cabinetmaker, knowledge of the material, and precise joinery are apparent in my work.  My inspiration is drawn from life experiences, family interactions, and the fascination of the high plains surrounding my Wyoming studio.  My work resides in public and private collections worldwide including the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum, Honolulu Museum of Art, Franklin G. Burroughs-Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum of Myrtle Beach, Peabody Essex Museum, American Association of Woodturners, and Ivinson Memorial Hospital in Laramie, Wyoming.  I am a Wyoming native and enjoy sharing life on the prairie with my wife, Wanda, and our two daughters.
