Dan Young

I was born in Denver and grew up in rural western Colorado. My experiences camping, fishing, and exploring through out the Rocky Mountains as a child have been strong influence on my work. After a successful stint as an illustrator, I returned to Colorado to paint full time. I enjoy painting the rural life of the west and those untouched places that man has not influenced. I continue to find inspiration painting from life through out the west.

My work has been exhibited in many prestigious shows such as: Arts in the Embassies in Brussels, Belgium and Athens Greece, American Master’s at SCNY, Salmagundi Art Club, New York, New York,  Western Visions, National Museum of Wildlife Art, Jackson, Wyoming, Biennial Invitational, Brinton Museum, Big Horn, Wyoming and Coors Western Art Exhibit, where I was the Featured Artist for 2018.
My work has been featured in: Western Art and Architecture Magazine, Southwest Art Magazine, Art of the West Magazine,American Art Collector Magazine, Plein Air Magazine, Western Art Collector and Cowboys and Indians Magazine.
