Gary Huber

I learned young to love the great outdoors. Dad took me camping and fishing. Mom took me painting as she set off across farm and field to capture her own masterful landscapes. There, at age five I made my first plein air "studies" and set a tentative foot upon the path to being an artist. Along the way I’ve earned many Best of Shows, Wyoming's Governor’s Choice Award and signature membership in prestigious painting groups. As a Rocky Mountain Plein Air Painter, summer finds me ‘flinging paint’ with the group in the Tetons. From ice-crusted peak to flower-spangled meadow, the entire American West calls me to paint it. This colorful land is my insistent muse. I hope my work inspires a new generation to explore it, love it and preserve it and to remind us all of the places we hold in our hearts.
