I was born and raised in Southern California. As a teen I rode and trained my three horses. The pathos seen in my sculptures arose from the intrinsic love of caring for my horses. I lived within the precarious surroundings of the suburbs and witnessed one stable after another closing down due to the numerous tract home developments. This gradual encroachment became the catalyst for my sculptures. During my education, MFA from California State University at Fullerton, I developed a passion for bronze casting. The innate relationship between the casting process and a love of horses is prevalent in my powerful, yet sensitive sculptures. I have had many public commissions throughout the west, most notably a 14 version of “Career Moves” at Loveland, Colorado’s, Sculpture in the Park.
