Michael Blessing

As a rule, Michael Blessing is drawn to strong compositions, vibrant color, and bold lines. His figurative work and paintings of the historical West are widely appealing and have an edgy quality that is both contemporary and timeless.

As a kid growing up in mid last century America, brightly lit neon signs captured Michael’s imagination and interest, prompting him to combine his love of painting the figure with the nostalgic pull of neon in his ‘Neon West’ and ‘Lit From Within’ series.

Publications include Western Art & Architecture, Big Sky Journal, and Southwest Art (cover). Accolades include Western Art Collector and Southwest Art Magazines’ Award of Excellence, the BOLDBRUSH Award, and Mondial Art Academy’s International Gallery Choice Gold and Silver medals.
