Susan Bell is a painter of contemporary western art. known for her impressionistic landscapes, wildlife, and livestock. A Colorado native and horse woman, she grew up recording the changing face of the west, its land and animals through art.
"I love to paint from life. There are more than three dimensions available when painting live. It is truly thrilling to try to capture a precise moment in time. The changing light, movement, smells and sounds of the environment are all in the final work of art. I see my work as a record of this time in our history and of my view of the west in which I live."
