Wayne Baize

    Throughout his professional career Wayne Baize has been known for his portrayal of the contemporary cowboy, the horses, the cattle, and the land. In 1995 the Cowboy Artists of America, one of the most prestigious art associations in the United States, invited Baize to become a member fulfilling a lifelong dream. He has served as CA president and board member for the organization. Over the years Baize has won numerous awards and been featured in magazines such as Western Horseman, Texas Monthly, The Cattleman, Quarter Horse Journal, and Hereford Journal. He was in the inaugural Governor’s Invitation Art Show for the Cheyenne Frontier Days and participated for many years. He and his family have many fond memories of traveling to Cheyenne, spending the evening at the Shellback Ranch, and visiting the governor’s home before the show.
