This painting was inspired by a photograph I came across in one of many dusty books on my book shelf of Bugatti racer, Elizabeth Junek who also was married to one of Bugatti's race car drivers. Her distinctive yellow Bugatti T30 made her stand out from the crowd! I've created a story about a father and daughter who had racing in their blood, he, racing bareback on a paint stallion, and her in a yellow Bugatti Type 59. Their Native American skill and bravery served them well on and off the race course. I always paint horses, and rarely paint automobiles, but think I've enjoyed the challenge here!
