I have painted in the Snowy Range in southern Wyoming many times. I think it is one of Wyoming's real treasures, especially for an artist. It always amazes me how late in the summer the snow hangs around. I've been there in late July and there are still ten foot drifts. This piece is from last summer right along highway 130. I was really attracted to the snow patterns leading you up to the top of the mountains. The snow cornices were a nice added touch.
